His off season experience have included playing for the Blaze Rising senior team, and the SweetLax AA Elite team. He was also named a Brine National High School All American last summer. Ben will join his brother Ian for the 2014 season at Mercyhurst University.

Also signing during the fall period was Aquinas senior midfielder, Billy Lombardi. A ceremony noting his accomplishment will be held with other classmates next spring.

The Greece Lightning celebrated the signings of two of their players during the fall period.

Senior midfielder Nick Capone signed his letter to attend and play at Chestnut Hill College in Pennsylvania. The Division II school, plays in the East Coast Conference and ended the 2012 season with an 8-6 record under Head Coach Brian Dougherty. Capone will start his fourth season on the Lightning Varsity this spring. He had a 17g-18a junior season and has 46 career points in his first three varsity years.

Senior defenseman Zac Sapor also signed a Division II NLI last week. He will be closer to home after deciding to play at LeMoyne College in Syracuse. LeMoyne had a 17-1 record last year losing to Limestone in the NCAA semi finals.

Head Coach Adam Geier was proud of the players' accomplishments. "Each year they have been the student athletes that have worked hard in the off-season, took the leadership roles and pushed themselves to have better grades. After their junior season, winning more games than the program has ever won, they helped the team make it to the second round of sectionals. These two boys are great positive role models that will be successful in any aspect of their lives."
