East United, McQuaid, HFL, Canandaigua Win Today

DAY IN REVIEW: SATURDAY - There were eight games played today and two were really close ones. Section III teams CNS and Baldwinsville were one goal winners over Irondequoit and Schroeder.

WG at FairportCORNING-3 at CANANDAIGUA-15 - Eight different players scored goals for Canandaigua who saw a run of eight goals in a row to start the game. Leading the scoring for Canandaigua (3-0) were Junior attackman Drew Williamee (5g-1a), Senior midfielder Alex Rheude (2g-2a), Junior attackman Mike Belles (3g-1a), and Freshman attackman Marshall Bolster (1g-2a). In the goal for Canandaigua was senior Jaxson Tucker with 7s/3ga = 70% (38 mins), junior Evan Scibelli with 2s/0ga = 100% (5 mins), and senior Tyler DeRue with 2s/0ga = 100% (5 mins).   There was no report from Corning at post-time.    [ BOX SCORE

AQUINAS-9 at SAINTS PETER AND PAUL-12 - Saints Peter and Paul came out strong in the first half, scoring six goals in the first and three more in the second to take a 9-3 into the break. Aquinas came back in the third with three unanswered goals, but both teams had three goals in the last quarter.  Scoring for Aquinas (2-2) were Sophomore attackman Jake Guggino (4g), Sophomore attackman Tano Auriuso (3g-1a), Senior midfielder Carter Wegman (1g), Junior attackman Noah Olbrich (1g-1a), and Junior midfielder Dom Siesto (1a). WG at FairportBALDWINSVILLE-10 at IRONDEQUOIT-9 in overtime - Junior Iggy LoMedico scored the overtime game-winner for Baldwinsville after coming back from a 5-4 deficit at halftime. The Bees scored four goals in the third to take the lead after three. Scoring for BVille were Brady Garcia(3g-4a), Judson Ferris(2g), Ignazio LoMedico(3g), Dylan Garcia(1g), Zachary Bice(1a), Tieman Lynch(1g). In the goal, Trevor Sutton recorded 16svs/9ga including two high stress saves in overtime.  Scoring for Irondequoit (2-1) were Sophomore offensiveman Cooper Moore (5g-1a), Junior offensiveman Steven Clinkscales (3a), Senior offensiveman Oliver Grisdale (2g-1a), Senior midfielder Jonah Carrier (2g-1a), and Junior offensiveman Ryan Avery (0g-1a). Jonah Carrier went 19+/3- = 86% at the faceoff "X". Irondequoit will host Churchville-Chili on Tuesday  [ BOX SCORE

EAST UNITED-EASTRIDGE-11 at HAVERLING-6 - Senior midfielder Nkodia Ndongala reached his 300th faceoff win with his 13 wins (312wins) and added (1g-2a) for the Eagles. Also scoring were Freshman midfielder Jahyden Maiorani (5g-2a), Senior midfielder Nkodia Ndongala (1g-2a), and Junior midfielder Jeremiah Tucker (2g). Leading the scoring for Haverling were Junior offensiveman Gavin Price (1g-3a), Sophomore attackman Zach Colegrove (2g), Sophomore midfielder Drew Spears (1g-1a), Senior attackman Connor Brundage (1g-0a) and Senior attackman Cameron Boyer (1g-1a)ho scored his first Varsity goal for the Rams. Sophomore goalie McLane Stermole recorded 16s/11ga = 59% (48 mins).      [ BOX SCORE

WG at FairportWAYNE-5 at HFL-21 - Ten different players scored goals for HFL in this game including Junior offensiveman Mathew Brassie Who reached his 50th goal with his 2g (51g).  Senior attackman Chase Perryman (5g-4a), freshman attackman Grady Goodberlet (3g-2a), and junior offensiveman Quinn Kailbourne (3g-1a) led the scoring. Facing off for HFL was senior Drew Angelo with 18+/1- = 95%. Freshman attackman Shane Coleman scored his first Varsity goal for Wayne who saw additional points from Sophomore midfielder Hank Smith (1g), Senior midfielder Alex Garrow (1g), Senior midfielder PJ Ostrowski (1g), Junior offensiveman Tas Strickland (1g), and Junior offensiveman Mason Michel (1a). HFL will host Hilton on Tuesday and Wayne is down the road at Gananda on Thursday.    [ BOX SCORE

SCHROEDER-8 at CNS-9 - In a game that was won with just over two seconds left in regulation, Cicero-North Syracuse senior Rocco Villano (3g-1a) scored for the Northstars. Also scoring were Donovan Chaney(2g), Luke Deinhart(1a), Adrian Sweeney(3g-1a), Cy Liberman(3a), Emmit Porter(1a), Karsen Pritchard(1a), and Blake Fefee(1g). Goaltending: Leyton Sullivan (9svs/8ga). Leading the scoring for Schroeder (2-2) were Senior attackman Nate Schilling (2g-3a), Senior midfielder Anthony DeRosa (3g), and Junior midfielder Garrett Conger (2g). WG at FairportNICHOLS-9 at MCQUAID JESUIT-17 - The Knights maintained their undefeated season at (5-0),  scoring four goals in just over one minute in the first quarter. Leading the scoring for McQuaid Jesuit were Senior attackman Vincenzo Giangreco (2g-5a), Senior attackman John Harding (4g-1a), and Junior midfielder AJ Quagrello (3g-0a). Junior midfielder Will DiMarco scored his first Varsity goal, and Sophomore midfielder Domenic Giangreco reached his 200th faceoff wins with his 9 wins (200wins). Also facing off was Junior JP Gianforti with 6+/3- = 67%. Goalie Jack Rawleigh recorded 3s/2ga = 60% (19 mins).  There was no report for Nichols at post-time.    [ BOX SCORE

WEST GENESEE-12 at FAIRPORT-5 - The Wildcats wasted no time, scoring six goals in the first quarter and never lost the lead. Scoring for West Genesee were Charlie Lockwood(1g-4a), Nolan Bellotti(2g-1a), Gary McLane(4g), Jonah Vormwald(1g), Nash Oudemool(1g), Jake McMahon(1g-1a), and Chace Cogan(2g).
