Hunter Duford Makes Verbal Commitment to VMI

Hunter DufordJunior midfielder Hunter Duford has made a verbal commitment to study and play lacrosse at the Virginia Military Academy (VMI) after his graduation in 2016 from Hilton.

In the off season Hunter has played for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes team and played in the Autumn Gold, MVP, and the Under Armour Uncommitted games in 2014.

VMI is an NCAA Division I school, playing in the Southern conference which includes teams like Jacksonville, Richmond, Bellarmine and Mercer. The Head Coach is Brian Anken who is entering his sixth season with the Keydets. Current players from Section Five include Garrett Warren Irondequoit) and Dale Mattice (Victor).

Before making his decision, Hunter considered Holy Cross, Robert Morris and Tampa.
