Victor vs EMS

A third quarter surge, and a big performance by freshman attackman Gavin Houghtaling's 5g-1a gave the Spartans enough to send them to the New York State final four on Wednesday. He is, however, only one of four players with more than sixty points this year. Sophomore attackman Lance Madonna (70g-35a) lead the team in points with 105. Houghtaling (41g-25a) and Luke Rosaschi (34g-32a) have 66 points and Derrick Madonna (45g-18a) has 63. Senior goalie, Owen Anzalone has 120 saves this year (57%) and has turned in mid-fifty percent records in the last four games.

Victor has seven players with twenty or more goals and have demonstrated this year that when one player is slowed down, others step up. Joey Pezzimenti leads in points and assists with 50g-31a. Camden Hay has 43g-11a, Sam Lambert has 20g-27a and Alexander Mabbett has 33g-12a. Mabbett and senior goalie Chayse Ierlan (120 saves/ 59%) were recently named US Lacrosse All-Americans.
