Spencerport 2009 - Spencerport finished last season with a 7-5 record in Monroe County Division III (7-9 overall). Seeded tenth in the Class A tournament, the Rangers lost to Churchville-Chili in the first round and finish as seeded. The graduation of Kyle Mark will be the the biggest loss to the Spencerport offense. Mark (55g-28a) finished tied for sixth in goals and seventh in total points for all of Section Five. He was also named to First Team All League list and is playing for SUNY Brockport this year.

Offensively, the Rangers will look to Kevin Heacock (HM) in the midfield and Austin Hintz (Second Team) in the attack. Heacock finished last season with 5g-20a and Hintz finished with 39g-15a. Both will be important to the success of the Ranger offense. Defensively, Andrew Sformo (Second Team Defense) will be leading players on the defensive side of the field.

Between the pipes, sophomore Tyler Schweikert returns after starting for the Rangers in the latter half of last season. Schweikert played in eight games (including the sectional game against Churchville-Chili) and amassed 102 saves (55%). He will look to last year's experience to move right in to the 2010 season.

Coach Matt Nentarz writes, "I believe this is the strongest team Spencerport has put on the field since I joined the program in 2007." Division III allows each team to schedule four out of league contests and Coach Nentarz has scheduled games against Churchville-Chili, HF-L, Brockport and Victor.
