-Midlakes ended their league season first in Finger Lakes Division II with a 6-4 record (8-10 overall). Seeded fourth in the Class C tournament the Eagles lost to Penn Yan in second round and finished as seeded.

midlakesCoach Rich Doan speaks of the graduated seniors, "We are suffering from the loss of two key players to graduation, Jared Schoonerman (Goalie) and Nick Newland (Face Off Middie). We will have to rebuild at those two positions and make some changes in our style of play." Schoonerman finished last season with 292 saves (63%) and was one of the Sections stronger goalies.

Offensively, the Eagles will look to junior Tyler Brooks-Lambert. Brooks-Lambert led Midlakes with 38g-25a last season and will look to bring the same offensive strengths to this year's roster. Joining Brooks-Lambert is Ben Uveges. Uveges was second in points last season with 26-20. Uveges runs from both the attack and the midfield for the Eagles. A big loss for Midlakes comes with the injury of Connor Hogan. Hogan, who broke his leg during soccer season, attempted to come out for lacrosse, however, his injury prevented him from playing this season.

Joining Brooks-Lambert and Uveges are Erik Vanhooft and Jason Batcheller. Coach Doan says of the four, "These guys are fun to watch as they have been playing together for several years now."

Defensively, Vanhooft will lead the defense as Midlakes looks to replace Schoonerman. Michael Iannone, a senior, played only seven minutes last season and will have to step up quickly to fill the absence between the pipes.

With the change of leagues, Midlakes is looking to be in good position, however, Coach Doan makes note that no one can be overlooked, "There are some very good players in the Finger Lakes this year that can be game changers." Midlakes will also be facing Batavia, Penn Yan, Haverling, Canandaigua, Geneva, Livonia and Waterloo.
