Aquinas, and Canandaigua Win Today

Aquinas was a 10-4 winner over Brighton and Canandaigua beat Victor 19-4 in the area, while Carthage beat Penn Yan (16-6) and Tully beat Waterloo (10-6) outside the area on Saturday.
  

Aquinas 10 - Brighton 4

The defensive contest was close in the first half, with each team scoring one goal in the first quarter and the Little Irish taking a one goal lead (2-1) into the half time break. Aquinas broke it open in the third, outscoring the Barons 5-1 and finished with a 3-2 advantage in the fourth. AQ had 41 shots and Brighton had 20 shots.

redspot Eight different Tully players made the scorebook as the Black Knights (2-3) beat visiting Waterloo 16-6 in non-league action Saturday.

Scoring for Tully were Adam Jean (3g-3a), Mark Briggs (5g), Kevin Deodio (3g-3a), Mike Caraiy (1a), Pat McNerny (2g-1a), Chad Curne (1g), Tyler Halpin (2g) and TJ Shaw (1g-2a) Ryan Rich had 6s/6ga in goal for Tully.
  
Scoring for Waterloo were Joe Shafer (1g), Rob Goodenow (1g), Jeff Wadhams (1g), Curtis Brosius (1g), Tim Freier (1g), Chance Lowry (1g), Jon Asbury (1a) and Kevin Wright (4a). Shawn Andrus had 5 saves and Kevin Wright two more in goal for Waterloo.
  

Carthage (Section 3) 16 - Penn Yan 6

redspot Penn Yan traveled to Solvay High School to play Carthage (Section3) who was the 16-6 winner.
  
Scoring for the Mustangs were Adam Trombley (3a), Cole Castle (1g), Matt Osgood (3g), John Linnan (1a), Brendan Minor (1g) and Jamil Modafarri (1g). Ethan Kamholtz recorded 23s/16ga for Penn Yan.
  

Canandaigua 19 - Victor 4

redspot Canandaigua held the Blue Devils to a single goal in the first three quarters while racking up sixteen of there own on their way to 19-3 Finger Lakes league game at Victor. Scoring 17 of the 19 goals with assists, the Braves had 13 different players make the scorebook. Marshall Johnson and Kevin Peck combined to win 12 of the first 14 face offs for Canandaigua (5-0).
