Players of the Year - 2005

The 2005 Players of the Year awards are out and the three deserving winners were selected from a field of forty-four nominees.

The Mike Barnard Sportsman of the Year is senior midfielder Kyle Jensen of Penn Yan. He is a three year starting defensive midfielder who does all the grunt work and rarely gets recognition for his efforts. He is an outstanding student and a true gentlemen on and off the field and has a tremendous work ethic.

The Graphtex Offensive of the Year is awarded to senior midfielder, Dan Groot of Canandaigua. A leading scorer in Section Five, Dan has been a multi year All League player and was selected to the US Lacrosse All America Team this year. He will attend Maryland in the fall.

The Graphtex Defensive Player of the Year is awarded to junior goalie Brian Dell of Penfield. A major factor in the success of the Penfield team this season, Brian helped his team to an undefeated regular season. He was selected to the first team All League list in MC-1.
