Thursday: Brighton and Pal-Mac Win One Goals Games

DAY IN REVIEW: Updated. It rained throughout the section and as temperatures dropped over the afternoon, four school cancelled their games, but ten did play.Brighton Head Coach Cory Holbrough As has been the norm, thus far this year, many were mismatches but there were two one goal games as Pal-Mac defeated Penn Yan for the first time. Brain Burger led scoring for the Red Raiders with 3g-1 and Jared Hurlbutt was 53% in the cage. Ben Emerson led the offense for the Mustangs with 1g-2a.

After playing a close first quarter, Brighton took control until the end of the game when Hilton scored four in a row to get within one goal. Brett Randall (3g-3a) and Owen Ronchetti (2-3a) took top offensive honors for the Barons. Jordan DePetres led the Cadets with three goals.

The first half of the Waterloo-Mynderse game was close with three ties before the 3-3 half. Mynderse scored first in the third quarter and never looked back as six different players scored. Ian Anderson led in points with three assists and Noah Goodall recorded 4s (57%). Three different players scored for Waterloo and George Williams made ten saves (59%).

Churchville-Chili had a hard game in the rain and fell to Jamesville-DeWitt. There was a high point when Jake Buck scored his 100th career goal for the Saints.

Other winners today were McQuaid, HF-L, Schroeder, Victor and Baldwinsville over Aquinas.
