# 3413 Pittsford Wins Class A Title After finishing the last two seasons as the Runner-up, Pittsford finally became the Class A Champions. The Panthers defeated McQuaid Jesuit 9-5 tonight. The game was close for the first half before Pittsford took over in the third and fourth quarters. The Panthers scored eight straight goals spanning the second, third and fourth quarters. The Panther defense held the Knights scoreless for over 36 minutes. Leading the charge for the Panthers was Tournament MVP senior attackman Rex Kesselring. Kesselring finished with 4g. |

At Pittsford, the Panthers held off late advances by St Joseph and took the 8-7 win. # 3055 McQuaid With Three Strong Returners Quite a number of coaches feel that McQuaid Jesuit will be a top contender among Class A teams this year which makes sense with three players who made first-team All-League honors as sophomores returning for their senior year. In the attack is Max Ettinghausen is a four-year starter who scored 28g-24a in 2019 and 23g-13a as a freshman. He is a "fast, smart and tough player with excellent stick skills and is a strong leader" according to Coach Corcoran. He will continue playing lacrosse next year at Tufts. |
