JD Gets Win Over HFL

- Jamesville-DeWitt showcased a strong offensive performance in their matchup against HFL, securing a 16-5 victory at CNS today. Despite the Cougars taking an early lead with goals from Grady Goodberlet and Marco Vengoechea in the first quarter, JD responded with consistent scoring throughout the remainder of the game. Leading the effort was Lucas Patchen, who tallied five goals, while Ryan Babikan added four. Additional contributions came from Lucas Brazell with two goals and one assist, and Benjamin Porter, who posted one goal and two assists. The team saw points from Jackson King (one assist), Braeden Baker (one goal, two assists), Tate Mullin (two assists), Andrew Laubenstein (one goal), Miles Patchen (three assists), Sawyer McIntosh (one goal), and Paul Brown V (one goal).

HFL finished with five goals, including two each from Goodberlet and Vengoechea, with Jackson Coon contributing one goal and one assist. Quinn Kailbourne provided two assists, supporting his team's effort. In goal, HFL’s sophomore goalkeeper Jason Bennett recorded 13 saves on 15 shots, reaching his 300th career save milestone. His teammate Jackson Blythe played 12 minutes, allowing one goal. JD’s goaltender, Ryan Keoug, stood in net for his team throughout the match.

This victory marks JD’s third consecutive win over HFL in their series history since 2023. While HFL fought hard with early offensive success, JD's steady attack secured the result.
