Players of the Week - Week Eight

- Player of the Week

Section V Boys Lacrosse Coordinator Mike Simon in conjunction with the Connors and Ferris law firm are, once again, sponsoring recognition of noteworthy performances throughout the season.

For "Week 8" we have two players who had standout performances last week.

Offensive Player of the Week

Sam RicciNathan Hoban - Thomas Attack

Nathan Hoban received the ball from Ethan Shappee at 2:48 in overtime and his goal gave the Titans the win at Rush-Henrietta. It was the second overtime win in the week for Thomas. Nathan, a senior midfielder is set to play at Le Moyne next year.

Webster Thomas Head Coach Rob Ruller says: "Nathan has been a four-year starter for us. He can create offense for us in a variety of ways.  Always willing to put in the extra hours, he has been a pleasure to coach."

Defensive Player of the Week

Jason MosherTrevor Reese - Honeoye Falls-Lima Goalie

Junior goalie Trevor Reese came up with some big saves with the Cougars beat Livonia-Avon in a close game that went right to the end. Key to the low scoring game was the ten saves (71%) game turned in by Trevor.

Head Coach Jack Beaney says, "He was really seeing the ball in our Livonia-Avon game. He did a great job clearing the ball and talking to the defense. Trevor has worked really hard to stay focused in practice and games. In the Livonia-Avon game the ball must have looked like a beach ball - he was really seeing it."
