Week In Review - Week 1

- The season started slowly with only four games played thus far, by eight teams. At the moment there are seventy out of section games scheduled.

Looking Back

Brockport goalieOn Thursday, the season opened with Livonia-Avon hosting Brockport. It was a good game with excellent goalie play on both sides. The Lakers won, 11-9. On Friday, Mynderse defeated Bloomfield-Honeoye and Gananda defeated East United and on Saturday Rush-Henrietta defeated Haverling. 

Looking Ahead

There are games scheduled for Monday through Saturday in Week 2 starting with R-H at Gananda on Monday. There are eight games scheduled for Tuesday and two are with out of section teams as Penfield hosts West Seneca and Geneva goes to Corning.

On Wednesday Mynderse hosts Watkins Glen and the newly configured Batavia-Attica-Notre Dame (BAND) team will open their season at Gananda. 

There are ten games scheduled for Thursday with the "headliner", the annual Pittsford-Victor game, which will be played at Victor. Churchville-Chili opens at Greece, McQuaid opens at Haverling and Brighton travels to Hilton.

On Friday Canandaigua plays at Pal-Mac and on Saturday there are currently sixteen games scheduled. Ten are against out of section teams, including an early look at West Genesee under new coach Shaun Smith, who will play at Penfield. Victor will play at Irondequoit, Fairport is at Corning and McQuaid Jesuit will get a real test at Baldwinsville.
