Wayne hosted their fifth annual “Cradle for a Cure” event today and defeated Gananda 23-5.  The “Cradle for a Cure” event began five years ago as a fundraising/awareness event after a local lacrosse player received a cancer diagnosis.  Every year since, Wayne has hosted a multigame event with boys and girls lax with the hope of donating to both local charities and a local family in need of assistance.  Earlier in the evening in the girls’ contest, Waterloo defeated Wayne 17-9 (HERE). Canandaigua attackman Devin Andrews scored 7g-2a for the Braves (11-4) when they beat Penfield (6-7) at home tonight. Joe post was 21-26 at the draw and added 11 ground balls for CA. Geneva (8-4) held Penn Yan (6-7) scoreless in the second half in their 5-1 victory this afternoon. The power-based system used to seed the Sectional Tournaments is based on the FINAL win/loss records of each team played.
