Travis Ford Sign NLI for Fairfield
November 19, 2015 - Webster Thomas senior attackman Travis Ford honored his verbal commitment to Fairfield University when he signed his National Letter of Intent on Tuesday. He plans to study business administration at the University.
A member of the Varsity team since his freshman year, Travis will start his last campaign with Titans 84g-42a. He was picked as a first team All Section Five player and was on the Democrat and Chronicle All-Greater Rochester Super 16 list last year.
Ty Xander ranked Travis nationally at #88 among rising seniors in his Recruiting Rundown and in his sophomore year he was ranked at #45 on the Inside Lacrosse Top 50 Young Guns.
He has been a member of the Sweetlax Lacrosse Club National team and was selected for the Under Armour Underclass Upstate team after his sophomore year. In 2014 he won the fasted shot contest competition (104 mph) at the Maverick Showtime.
In February of 2014 Travis announced his verbal commitment to Fairfield Head Coach Andy Copelan who this year will enter his eighth year with the Stags. His record is 64-41 at Fairfield and is 82-56 as an NCAA Division I Head Coach. After growing up and playing in Pittsford, Copelan had a successful college career at Bucknell.
