Jonathan is recognized this week for his performance in the Cougar`s overtime win against Webster Schroeder. He scored three goals in the game including the game winner. HF-L Head Coach Jack Beaney says:

"He played really well that day and was all over the place. He ran middie on the wing and face offs, attack and even stepped in on man down in a pinch (with a long pole). Jon came into the season in great shape and has improved day by day this season. His hard work has paid off and I was glad he was Johnny on the Spot in overtime against Schroeder."

Jacob is being recognized this week for a dramatic game in the goal for Haverling when the Rams won their first game against McQuaid Jesuit since 2004. The senior three sport athlete, who was sidelined for much of 2015 with a knee injury, recorded 23 saves (77%) in the 12-7 win. Head Coach Ken DiDomineck says:

"His eight saves in the final quarter made the difference. He is a very good communicator and although his size helps in the goal, he has very quick feet and hands."

From the many noteworthy performances by players each week, a small committee of SportsFive.NET staff members and some Section Five Lacrosse Committee members will create and review review nominations from coaches, players and fans and pick one offensive and one defensive player who have excelled in a game or games during the season.
