Section Five Championships Tuesday and Wednesday

May 30, 2016 - The games have now been decided and all that is left is to play the final games in the Section Five season. The winners will move on the the New York State Tournament which will take place away from Section Five this year.

There is a new format for the Class A finals as, for the first time, both the Class A girls and Boys will play their game on Tuesday. The Fairport girls (#2) will play the Pittsford girls (#1) at 5:00 pm. Following that game, the Pittsford boys (#2) will take on the Victor boys (#1) at 7:00 pm.

On Wednesday, June 1st, the Class C and Class B boys champions will be crowned. Aquinas (#3) will play Penn Yan (#1) in the class C pairing. Both teams easily defeated their semifinal opponents. Their game will be played at 5:00 pm.

Canandaigua (#4) who defeated Churchville-Chili (#1) in overtime will play Webster Thomas (#2) who beat Irondequoit (#3) in overtime. Their game will be played at 7:00 pm.

NEXT UP: CHAMPIONSHIPS - Tuesday - May 31th - St. John Fisher College

   Class A: Pittsford vs Victor at 7:00

 

THEN MORE CHAMPIONSHIPS - Wednesday - June 1st - St. John Fisher College

   Class C: Aquinas vs Pen Yan at 5:00

 

   Class B: Canandaigua vs Thomas at 7:00

 

NOTES - St. John Fisher College

Admission: $5.00 (allows for both games on one night.)

Parking: Due to construction at the College we are encouraging parking on the east side of the campus (Lot S) although there were also be parking on the west side of the campus as usual.

Concessions: St. John Fisher will have two concession stands and a Kettle Corn stand with food for sale.

What Not to bring: Spectators are asked to leave lacrosse sticks at home.
