Sleeman's 50th Goal, Blueye's 150th Lift Marcus Whitman

May 14, 2026 - LIVONIA-AVON-GENESEO-10 at MARCUS WHITMAN-11  - Marcus Whitman beat Livonia-Avon-Geneseo 11-10 Wednesday evening in a non-league game, moving to 7-5. The game was tied five to five after the first quarter before Marcus Whitman outscored L-A-G six to five over the final three quarters. The night featured four career milestones: Fischer Sleeman scored his 50th career goal, Tariku Blueye reached his 150th, L-A-G's Rider VanZandt reached 400 career faceoff wins and goalie Ayden Szymanski reached 200 career saves.

Sleeman led Marcus Whitman with five goals, while Blueye added four goals and two assists. Ayden Clark contributed two goals and an assist. In goal, senior Tyler Speers made 13 saves on 23 shots (57%) over 48 minutes.

For L-A-G, eighth grader Owen Schweitzer led with four goals and an assist, while VanZandt added three goals and two assists. Nikolai Hanna and Jack Ackerman each scored one goal, with Hanna adding two assists. VanZandt went 19 for 25 on faceoffs. In goal, Szymanski made 14 saves on 25 shots (56%) over 48 minutes. L-A-G falls to 9-6.

Marcus Whitman travels to Waterloo on Tuesday. L-A-G travels to Midlakes on Monday.
