Ryan`s Four Goals Lead Brockport Past Newark

- NEWARK-8 at BROCKPORT-15 - Brockport picked up a 15-8 non-league win over Newark on Saturday morning at home, scoring three goals in the first quarter and five more in the second to take control. The win gives Brockport a 5-4 all-time edge in a series that has been closely contested since 2014.

For Brockport (4-1), sophomore Dylan Ryan led with four goals and four assists, while sophomore Jaxon Ophardt added four goals and one assist. Sophomore Tyler Davis contributed two goals and two assists, and sophomore Ethan Rademacher added two goals and two assists, scoring his first varsity goal and picking up his first varsity assist. Freshman Samuel Cedeno also scored his first varsity goal, and sophomore Mason Scott chipped in two goals. Sophomore Johnathan Pienio went 15-for-27 at the faceoff dot (56%). Senior Owen Perkins stopped seven shots for a 50% save percentage in 45 minutes.

For Newark (0-6), senior Sam Underhill led with five goals and one assist, while junior Evan Shulla, eighth-grader Kody Lund, and senior John Camblin each added one goal.
