Canandaigua Edges Fairport with 3 4th Quarter Goals

- CANANDAIGUA-8 at FAIRPORT- 7 -  Canandaigua rallied from a 7-5 deficit after three quarters with three straight goals in the fourth to edge Fairport 8-7 on Saturday afternoon. The win extends Canandaigua's winning streak against Fairport to six straight in a series that now stands at 16-10.

For Canandaigua (2-4), senior Patrick Olvany and freshman Landon Mortier each led with two goals, with Olvany adding one assist. Junior Marshall Bolster added two goals, and senior Zach Hoffman and junior AJ Sterman each chipped in one goal, with Sterman adding one assist. Junior Ryan McKeegan contributed two assists. Peyton Fritz went nine-for-18 at the faceoff dot (50%). Senior Quentin Shedrick stopped eight shots for a 53% save percentage in 48 minutes.

For Fairport (3-4), senior Jack Gosiewski led with two goals and one assist, while sophomore Marco Provenzano added two goals and one assist. Junior Carter Mitchell, sophomore Grant Ralston, and senior Ryan Priddy each added one goal. Senior Corey Roeser went seven-for-10 at the faceoff dot (70%). Sophomore Luke Temple stopped nine shots for a 53% save percentage in 48 minutes.
