Banister's Four Goals, Miller's 400th Win Lead Penfield

- PENFIELD-16 at EAST UNITED-EASTRIDGE-3 - Penfield picked up a 16-3 Monroe County D-1 win at East United-Eastridge on Friday evening, scoring seven goals in the first quarter and 12 straight at one point to pull away. Eleven different players scored for the Patriots, who extend their all-time record against East United-Eastridge to five-for-five.

For Penfield (3-3), junior Griffin Banister led with four goals and one assist, while senior Brodie Joyce added two goals and four assists. Junior Aaron Hardaway chipped in two goals, and Colin Miller, Manny Castro, Jake Maurer, Tyler Pavone, Ewan McCormick, Gabe Robards, Garrett Hynes, and Carson Welz each added one goal. McCormick scored his first varsity goal, and junior Connor Morris picked up his first varsity assist. Miller went nine-for-nine at the faceoff dot (100%), surpassing 400 career faceoff wins with 404 total, and sophomore Will Taddeo added 12 wins in 13 attempts (92%). Junior Nate Roche stopped five shots for a 63% save percentage in 24 minutes.

From the scoring table, East United-Eastridge (1-3) got two goals from Chancellor Williams and one from Payton Terrigino.
