Olvany and McKeegan Each Score Five in Canandaigua Win

- CANANDAIGUA-18 at HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-11 - Canandaigua picked up its first win of the season with an 18-11 Monroe County D-3 victory at Honeoye Falls-Lima on Friday evening, building an early lead and holding on as HF-L scored 11 goals of its own. The win gives Canandaigua an 11-1 all-time edge against HF-L.

For Canandaigua (1-3), senior Patrick Olvany and junior Ryan McKeegan each led with five goals. Junior AJ Sterman added two goals and four assists, and junior Marshall Bolster contributed four assists. Landon Mortier and Joel Lloyd each chipped in two goals, and senior Shane Cooke and junior Kyle Farrington each added one goal, with Cooke scoring his first varsity goal. Junior Peyton Fritz went 20-for-30 at the faceoff dot (67%). Senior Quentin Shedrick stopped 10 shots for a 53% save percentage in 44 minutes.

For Honeoye Falls-Lima (3-1), senior Marco Vengoechea led with two goals and four assists, while senior Jackson Coon and junior Grady Goodberlet each added three goals. Coon also contributed two assists and Tanner Olin chipped in two goals. Junior Jason Bennett stopped 20 shots for a 53% save percentage in 48 minutes.
