Penn Yan Moves on to Semifinals

- Penn Yan defeated Marcellus 13-8 in the Western Regisonal Championship game at CNS today. The game started with Penn Yan taking an early lead, scoring four goals in the first quarter while Marcellus put up two. Marcellus maintained consistent scoring across all quarters, tallying two goals each period, but Penn Yan extended their advantage with strong offensive plays in the third and fourth quarters, adding four goals in each.

Leading the way for Penn Yan,OP at Pitts Teagan Fingar recorded four goals and three assists, while Mike Gigliotti and Braden Fingar each contributed three goals. Miles Ditzell added two goals, John Holly finished with one goal and two assists, and Tukker Fisher provided one assist. Penn Yan goalkeeper Will Thompson made 17 saves, finishing with a 68% save rate over 48 minutes. Marcellus was led by Chris Doshna II, who notched three goals and one assist, with Nick Rayfield and Henry Lawrence each scoring twice. Jimmy Cox and Connor Ciota also contributed to Marcellus' effort, while goalie Otto Moses recorded 11 saves.

Penn Yan extended their winning streak to five games, improving their record to 19-2. The series history remains close, with Marcellus holding three wins compared to Penn Yan's two.
