
Canandaigua Moves on to The Semifinals
June 7, 2025 - Canandaigua controlled the pace from the start, scoring seven goals in the first quarter and six in the second. Lake Shore found limited opportunities, managing one goal in the first and another in the third before a four-goal final quarter. Canandaigua’s offense was led by Patrick Olvany with three goals, Drew Williamee contributing two goals and five assists, and Mike Belles adding two goals and two assists. Freshman midfielder Joel Lloyd recorded his first varsity goal.
The Canandaigua defense held strong, with junior goalie Quentin Shedrick saving three shots while allowing one goal, finishing with a 75% save rate in 24 minutes of play. Senior Mason DePew won three of four face-offs, while sophomore Peyton Fritz secured 11 of 20.
