HFL Secures Win Over Hamburg

- HFL extended their winning streak to five games with an 11-4 victory over Hamburg in the NYS play-in matchup against HFL vs HamburgSection VI Champion Hamburg. HFL built momentum early, with Cash Arena netting three goals, Marco Vengoechea leading the scoring with four goals and one assist, and Quinn Kailbourne contributing two goals and three assists. Additional goals came from Grady Goodberlet and Jackson Coon. Hamburg's effort was led by Jack McDonald, who scored two goals, while Damian Majtyka and Alex Ricotta each added one.

HFL maintained control throughout the game, scoring multiple goals in each quarter while holding Hamburg to just one per period. Junior Sam Jokl won six faceoffs, and sophomore goalie Jason Bennett recorded seven saves with a 64% save rate over 44 minutes. Hamburg managed to break through in each quarter but struggled to gain momentum against HFL's defense.

This win marked a milestone for HFL head coach Eric Goodberlet, earning his 50th victory with the program. The series history between the teams remains competitive, with Hamburg holding a slight edge, having won three previous matchups compared to HFL's two.
