Penfield Advances to Class Finals

May 30, 2025 - Penfield secured a 10-7 victory over Fairport in the Section V semifinal at Spencerport tonight. Griffin Banister led Penfield’s attack with four goals and one assist, while Jake Maurer contributed three goals. Additional scoring came from Brodie Joyce, Manny Castro, and Harrison Easton, each netting one goal, with Joyce and AJ Theodorakakos adding assists. Fairport’s scoring was not reported.

Penfield’s junior goaltender Mason Schembri recorded 10 saves and allowed seven goals, finishing with a save percentage of 59% over 48 minutes. Faceoff specialist Colin Miller won 11 faceoffs and lost nine for a 55% success rate. Penfield will advance to the Class Finals to face McQuaid Jesuit on June 3rd at Hobart and William Smith College in Geneva.    [ Story and BOX SCORE]
