Gino Prestigiacomo Picks Cortland

October 21, 2011 - Greece Thunder (Athena/Odyssey) senior Gino Prestigiacomo recently announced his decision to continue his lacrosse career at the State University at Cortland next fall. The offensive player who has four year varsity experience, recorded 32g-26a (58 points) last year and has a career record of 82g-63a entering his last year with the Thunder. He has had three years with the Rochester Blaze team during his off-seasons.

Cortland, who won the Division 3 National Championship is 2009 under current Head Coach Steve Beville, was 16-3 last year after a close loss to Tuffs (10-9) in the quarter final round. Prestigiacomo will be joining a large group of Section Five players that include , Greg Wright and Sean Davern from Irondequoit, Mike Warner from Geneva, and from Webster Schroeder, Scott Tota, Mike Blood, Cody Consul.
