Gates Chili Over Gananda

May 21, 2025 - Gates Chili secured a 19-12 win over Gananda in their non-league contest tonight. Both teams started evenly, each scoring four goals in the first and second quarters. However, Gates Chili pulled ahead in the third, netting nine goals while limiting Gananda to three. In the final quarter, Gates Chili added two more goals, while Gananda managed just one. Leading the charge for Gates Chili were Jayden Maryjanowski with six goals and four assists, Michael Alley with six goals and one assist, and Joshua Yakowitz with four goals. Bennett Miley contributed three goals and two assists, while Callaway Phommachanh had two assists. Goalie Demar Williams finished with eight saves on 12 shots over 48 minutes.

Gananda saw strong performances from Jase Smith, who scored five goals, and Brody Daciw, who recorded two goals and four assists. Mason Groh added three goals, Cameron Richards and Alex Galka each scored once, and Jacob Wynne provided one assist. Gananda goalie Nick Falso registered 18 saves against 19 goals in 48 minutes. On faceoffs, Gates Chili’s Michael Alley won 14 out of 22, and Gananda’s Alex Galka won 17 out of 33.
