Brighton Holds Off Fairport

- Brighton secured a 10-8 victory over Fairport in a close non-league game on Tuesday evening. The visiting team took an early lead, outscoring Fairport 3-1 in the first quarter. Fairport responded with a strong second quarter, putting up five goals to Brighton’s two, bringing the game to halftime with the home team ahead.Brighton at Fairport The second half was evenly contested, with both teams scoring twice in the third quarter, but Brighton finished strong in the fourth, adding three more goals while holding Fairport scoreless.

Gavin Parks led Brighton’s offense, scoring six goals, while Austin Flaum contributed one goal and one assist. Ben Marangola, Evan Lohkamp, and Tim Tourangeau each added a goal, with Miles McGuire recording an assist. In goal, junior Logan Serve made ten saves while allowing eight goals, finishing with a 56% save rate. Fairport’s leading scorers included Ryan Priddy with three goals, Mitchell Monte with one goal and three assists, and Alex Nadelen with one goal and one assist. Additional goal scorers were Rob Protz, Liam Moreland, and Cameron Duffy, while Ryan Cain added an assist.
