Dennie Scores Tying and OT Goals

- Geneva started strong, building a 6-1 lead late in the second quarter, but Pal-Mac responded with two quick goals, cutting the deficit to 6-3 at halftime. Pal-Mac opened the third quarter with a score to make it 7-3, but Geneva fought back with two straight goals to end the period ahead 7-5. Geneva struck first in the fourth quarter, increasing the lead to 8-5, but Pal-Mac answered with two transition goals. Geneva extended the lead again, but Pal-Mac continued to push back, eventually tying the game in the final seconds with a goal from Jackson Dennie to force overtime.

Geneva’s offense was led by Ryland Dunham and Max Heieck, each scoring three goals and adding one assist. Jack Dunham and Dominick Vedora contributed two goals and two assists apiece, while Ben Budgar tallied one goal and Alex Pesante added one assist. Pesante also took face-offs for Geneva, winning 14 while losing 12. Senior Brent Williams played all 48 minutes in goal, making 17 saves with a 59% save percentage.

In overtime, Pal-Mac secured the win when Dennie scored his seventh goal of the game, keeping the team’s undefeated season intact at 14-0.
