Churchville-Chili Secures Win Over Greece

- Churchville-Chili controlled the non-league matchup at Fairbanks Elementary, winning 14-3 against Greece Storm. The Saints built a strong lead early, scoring seven goals in the first half while keeping their opponent scoreless. Greece Storm responded in the third quarter with three goals from Carter Fabian, but Churchville-Chili continued their momentum with another set of goals, sealing the victory. Jaxon Leonard led the Saints with four goals and four assists, while William Morgan and Matthew Mitchell each contributed three goals and multiple assists.

Churchville-Chili’s offense was supported by goalie Dominic Marra, who made 12 saves and allowed three goals, achieving an 80% save rate in 36 minutes. Sophomore Kaiden Leiston played in the final quarter, stopping both shots he faced. Greece Storm’s goalie, Mitchell Barnes, faced heavy offensive pressure, making 12 saves while allowing 14 goals. On faceoffs, Churchville-Chili’s Isaac Bailey and Greece Storm’s Eric Odell were closely matched, with Bailey winning 10 and Odell taking nine.

Churchville-Chili improves to 5-8 on the season and will host Livonia-Avon-Geneseo next Monday, while Greece Storm, now 3-12, will visit Spencerport on Saturday.   [ Story and BOX SCORE
