Pride Takes Newark

- Bloomfield-Honeoye secured an 18-8 victory over Newark in a non-league game today. The scoring started early, with Wyatt Hall and Cody Whittaker finding the net in the first quarter. Whittaker led the team with five goals, while John Blair contributed three goals and six assists, reaching his 100th career goal. Brayden Arber added four goals, and Tyler Bruder finished with three goals and three assists. Senior Cody Whittaker dominated faceoffs for Bloomfield-Honeoye, winning 22 and losing six for a 79 percent success rate. In goal, senior Ethan Stoddard made nine saves while allowing seven goals, recording a 56 percent save percentage in 36 minutes of play and in doing so, became the all-time saves leader for the Pride.

Newark responded with six goals in the second quarter, led by junior attackman Sam Underhill, who scored three goals to reach his 150th career goal. Tristan Harris added one goal and three assists, while Lucas Herd contributed two goals. John Camblin and Evan Shulla each scored once. Despite the offensive effort, Newark’s goaltender Carter Bumpus made eight saves but allowed 18 goals.
