Midlakes Secures Win Against Gananda

- Midlakes put together a strong performance against Gananda, winning 16-2 in their matchup at R Mann Elementary. The scoring started early, with Jase Smith putting Gananda on the board in the first quarter off an assist from Mason Groh. Brody Daciw added a third-quarter goal, assisted by Smith. However, Midlakes maintained control throughout the game, netting four goals in each quarter.

Leading the scoring for Midlakes were Carter Casper and Brendan Baldwin, each posting four goals and one assist. Theodore Altman and Nate Lathrop added three goals apiece, while sophomore midfielder James Sprague recorded one goal and six assists, reaching his 50th career assist milestone. Walker Landschoot contributed with one goal and two assists. Gananda’s defense worked hard, with goalie Nick Falso making 21 saves, finishing with a 57% save rate. Midlakes goalie Stuart Quku was solid in net, saving eight shots and allowing two goals for an 80% save rate.

Gananda will look to rebound in their next matchup against Marcus Whitman on May 15th at 7:00 PM, while Midlakes prepares to host Bloomfield-Honeoye later that evening at 7:35 PM.   [ Story and BOX SCORE
