HFL Secures Victory Over Midlakes

- HFL secured a victory over Midlakes with a strong offensive performance, finishing with a 20-4 win in their non-league matchup on Saturday. The home team started quickly, scoring nine goals in both the first and second quarters while limiting Midlakes to one in the second and three in the fourth. Sophomore midfielder Jaxson Seaver (HFL) and senior defenseman Nick Curran (Midlakes) both recorded their first Varsity goals in the game.

Leading the way for HFL, Grady Goodberlet had six goals and two assists, while Quinn Kailbourne contributed four goals and five assists. Jackson Coon and Marco Vengoechea each scored four and three goals respectively. Jason Bennett was solid in goal with seven saves and one goal allowed for an 88% save percentage in 24 minutes. Midlakes' top scorers included Nick Curran, Kaden Guillaume, and Walker Landschoot, each with one goal, while Carter Casper finished with one goal and one assist. Goaltender Stuart Quku recorded eight saves for Midlakes. HFL will next face East Aurora, while Midlakes heads to Gananda.    [ Story and BOX SCORE
