
Victor Holds Off Pittsford
May 8, 2025 - Victor started strong with a seven-goal first quarter, setting the pace early against Pittsford in Thursday night’s non-league lacrosse matchup. Will Johnson led Victor’s attack with four goals, while Kyle Saeger contributed one goal and three assists. Jackson Mead, Matthew Herendeen, Brody Secker, Eli Ricci, Colin Wheeler, and Matt Langan each found the net as well. Sophomore goalie Will Simpson was solid in the cage with 17 saves and a 68% save rate over 48 minutes.
Pittsford answered back in the second half, scoring seven straight goals, including a quick four-goal stretch in under two minutes during the fourth quarter. Charlie Ryan led Pittsford with three goals and one assist, while Brady Goetz and Avery Valenti each tallied two goals. Cole Goetz added one goal and one assist. Sophomore goalie Pierce Madigan played the second half, registering six saves and allowing only one goal for an 86% save rate.
Despite Pittsford’s late push, Victor secured an 11-8 victory, marking their eleventh straight win against Pittsford dating back to 2015. Victor now holds a 12-7 advantage in the series history.
