Thomas Over Aquinas

May 8, 2025 - Thomas earned a 15-6 win against Aquinas in a non-league matchup at Aquinas. The teams were tied after the first quarter at two goals each, but Thomas pulled ahead with five goals in the second quarter and continued their strong performance in the second half. Leading the offense for Thomas was Lucas Estelle, who had six goals and four assists. Additional contributions came from Lucas Nuccotelli (two goals, one assist), Brandon Trottier (two goals, one assist), and Jake Polizzi (two goals). Aquinas saw scoring from Noah Olbrich (two goals), Gio Valerie (two goals), and Tano Auriuso (one goal, one assist).

In the goal for Thomas, junior Emmett Ernst made two saves in two minutes of play with no goals allowed, while junior Joshua Jobson recorded seven saves against five goals in 44 minutes for a 58% save rate. Aquinas’ goalie Jake Gibson played the full game, making ten saves while allowing 15 goals. Thomas controlled much of the possession and outscored Aquinas in three of the four quarters.
