Newark Winsin High-Scoring Game

- Newark secured a 14-11 victory over Marcus Whitman in a FL-D1 league game tonight. The game was closely contested, with Marcus Whitman taking an early lead, scoring four goals in the first quarter. Newark responded with five goals in the second, tying the game before pulling away in the final quarter. Sam Underhill led Newark’s offense with nine goals, becoming the all-time leading goal scorer in Newark High School history. Evan Shulla contributed three goals and two assists, while Lucas Young and Tristan Harris added one goal each. Carter Bumpus was solid in net, stopping 14 shots for a 56% save percentage.

Marcus Whitman had a strong offensive performance, with Ayden Clark leading the team with five goals and two assists. Logan Storms and Ian Cameron each scored two goals, while Tariku Blueye and Fischer Sleeman added one goal each. Connor Cameron recorded two assists. Goaltender Tyler Speers finished with 11 saves. Senior Logan Storms won five face-offs, securing possession for his team.
