Brighton Gets Win from Thomas

May 6, 2025 - Brighton secured a 13-11 victory over Thomas in a competitive MC-D2 league game on Tuesday night. The game remained close throughout, with Thomas leading 4-3 after the first quarter, but Brighton responded with a strong second quarter to pull ahead. Leading Brighton’s offense was Tim Tourangeau with four goals and two assists, while Ben Marangola contributed three goals. Miles McGuire and Austin Flaum each added two goals, and senior Gavin Parks reached his 50th career goal with his one score. Logan Serve tended goal for Brighton, stopping eight shots on 11 attempts.

Thomas fought hard, with Jake Polizzi leading the charge with four goals. Brett Mersdorf added three, while Brandon Trottier contributed two goals and two assists. Blake Jipson also scored twice, and Mason Mylott and Alex Mulcahy each chipped in with assists. In goal, Joshua Jobson recorded 11 saves on 13 goals allowed. The teams remained evenly matched through the second half, but Brighton maintained a slight edge in each quarter to secure the win.
