
Pittsford Takes Schroeder
May 6, 2025 - Pittsford took control early in its non-league matchup against Schroeder at Sutherland on Tuesday night, securing a 14-2 win. Seven different players contributed to Pittsford’s scoring effort, with Avery Valenti leading the team with four goals. Brady Goetz recorded two goals and four assists, while Jack Healy added one goal and three assists. Cole Goetz, Charlie Ryan, and Grant Lewis each found the net twice, and Max Morgenstern added one goal. Pittsford’s offense was active throughout, recording thirty-eight shots, with twenty-four on target.
Schroeder managed to get on the board in the second and fourth quarters, with Garrett Conger scoring both of the team’s goals. Parker Brown assisted on one of them, while Schroeder’s attack totaled thirteen shots, six of which were on goal. In net for Pittsford, sophomore Pierce Madigan made four saves, allowing two goals for a 67% save percentage in twenty-eight minutes of play. Eighth grader Bear Wehrheim played the final fourteen minutes, stopping the only shot he faced for a 100% save percentage. Schroeder’s goaltenders, Van Bolton and Ben Cashman, combined for ten saves.
With the victory, Pittsford moved to a 9-1 record on the season, while Schroeder fell to 3-8. Pittsford will travel to Victor for its next game on Thursday, while Schroeder hosts Livonia-Avon-Geneseo on Saturday. [ Story and BOX SCORE]
