
Joe Hill Wins 225th Game at Pal-Mac
May 6, 2025 - Pal-Mac continued its strong season with a 19-5 victory over Wayne in an FL-D1 league game on Tuesday. Pal-Mac built a lead early, scoring eight goals in the first quarter and adding five more in the second. Wayne responded with one goal in each of the first two quarters before putting up two in the third and one more in the fourth. Leading Wayne in scoring was Shane Coleman with three goals, while Mason Michel and Tucker Eaton each added one. Eaton also recorded an assist, as did Stone Sozio.
Wayne’s goaltenders faced a busy night, with sophomore Andrew Contestabile making five saves while allowing three goals for a 63% save rate in 12 minutes of play. Eighth grader Gavin Hamel recorded 17 saves and allowed 16 goals, finishing at 52% over 36 minutes. Pal-Mac, who did not submit stats by post-time is now 11-0 on the season and secured its latest win under head coach Joe Hill, who reached his 225th career victory. Wayne (3-8) will look to bounce back when they face Livonia-Avon-Geneseo on Thursday, while Pal-Mac will host Mynderse-Romulus the same evening. [ Story and BOX SCORE]
