HFL Secures Victory Over Gates Chili

May 6, 2025 - Honeoye Falls-Lima put together a strong performance in their league matchup against Gates Chili, winning 21-5. Grady Goodberlet led the charge for HFL with six goals and three assists, reaching his 150th career goal in the process. Quinn Kailbourne added five goals and two assists, while Marco Vengoechea contributed four goals and three assists. Seven different players found the back of the net for HFL, including sophomore Austin Schor, who scored his first varsity goal.

Gates Chili saw contributions from Michael Alley, who tallied two goals and two assists, and Jayden Maryjanowski, who recorded one goal and one assist. In the faceoff circle, Alley won ten draws, pushing his career total to 105 wins. HFL maintained defensive stability with solid goaltending from Jackson Blythe, who made three saves with a 60% save rate, and Jason Bennett, who stopped seven shots for a 70% save percentage.
