JD Edges Victor in Non-League Matchup

- In a non-league matchup on May 3, JD secured a 9-7 victory over Victor. JD built a strong early lead, scoring three goals in the first quarter while holding Victor to one. The second quarter saw both teams finding the net, with JD adding three more and Victor responding with two. The third quarter was quiet, with only one goal scored by Victor, setting up an eventful final frame.

The fourth quarter showcased a late push from Victor, who netted three goals, but JD kept pace with another three of their own, holding onto the two-goal lead. Victor’s offense was led by Kyle Saeger and Brody Secker, who each tallied two goals, with additional contributions from Jackson Mead, Matthew Herendeen, and Colin Wheeler. In goal, sophomore Will Simpson recorded 15 saves and finished with a 65% save rate over 39 minutes of play.
