Geneva Secures Victory Over Marcus Whitman

May 1, 2025 - Geneva hosted Marcus Whitman in an FL-D1 league game, finishing with a 17-3 score. Geneva established an early lead with four goals in the first quarter and extended the gap with seven in the second. Eight players contributed to Geneva’s scoring, with Max Heieck leading with five goals and three assists. Jack Dunham added four goals and one assist, while Ryland Dunham tallied two goals and two assists. Dominick Vedora, Jacob D’Amico, Max Delgado, Owen Devaney, and Alex Pesante also found the net.

Marcus Whitman saw all three of its goals from Fischer Sleeman, with an assist from Tariku Blueye in the fourth quarter. In goal, Geneva’s Brent Williams recorded five saves and allowed two goals, while Owen Marquart stopped three shots with one goal allowed. Marcus Whitman’s junior goalie Tyler Speers reached his 200th career save with 18 stops in the game.
