The Saints Take Brockport

April 30, 2025 - Churchville-Chili triumphed over Brockport in their MC-D3 league game, with a final score of twelve to five. Junior Jaxon Leonard shined for Churchville-Chili, scoring five goals and surpassing the career milestone of one hundred goals, bringing his total to 103. Supporting Leonard were Cooper Lass, who netted two goals, and Jack Sloan, who contributed one goal and two assists. Isaac Bailey excelled in faceoffs, winning thirteen out of seventeen for a 76% rate. Goaltender Dominic Marra stood strong with eight saves on five goals allowed, achieving a 62% save rate.

Brockport had contributions from Dylan Ryan and Jayden Taylor, both scoring two goals each, while Mason Schram added one goal and two assists. Freshman goalie James Newton kept Brockport competitive with twenty-five saves and a 68% save rate in the forty-eight-minute match. Despite their efforts, Brockport was held scoreless in the third quarter as Churchville-Chili pulled ahead with their offensive momentum.

This victory marked the fifth consecutive win for Churchville-Chili against Brockport. The Saints scored three goals in under two minutes in the first quarter and maintained their lead throughout the game.
