Irondequoit Secures Victory Over Pittsford

April 30, 2025 - Irondequoit's balanced offensive attack led to a decisive 10-4 win over Pittsford in a non-league game at Sutherland on Wednesday night. Cooper Moore and Dylan Carey paced Irondequoit with three goals each, while Moore also contributed one assist. Colin Giudice tallied one goal and two assists, and Hank Velepec recorded three assists. Goalkeeper Sven Habitzreuther made 14 saves and allowed only four goals, finishing with a strong 78% save rate.

Pittsford's scoring came from Brady Goetz, Cole Goetz, Max Morgenstern, and Avery Valenti, with Jack Healy adding two assists. Despite their efforts, Pittsford faced a stout defensive effort from Irondequoit, highlighted by Andrew Scully's dominance in face-offs with a 72% win rate (13/18). Pittsford’s eighth-grade goalie, Bear Wehrheim, ended the game with 11 saves on 21 shots, recording a 52% save percentage.
