Penfield Over Storm

- Penfield delivered a strong performance at home, defeating Greece Storm 18-0 in an MC-D1 league game. Twelve different players found the back of the net for Penfield. Brodie Joyce led the scoring efforts with 2 goals and 4 assists, supported by Griffin Banister (2 goals, 2 assists), Jake Maurer (2 goals, 2 assists), and Gabe Robards (2 goals). Senior Tommy Obstarczyk and sophomore Carson Welz each celebrated their first varsity goals. In goal, junior Mason Schembri and senior Trevor Serafin combined for three saves on zero goals allowed, each maintaining a perfect save percentage over 24 minutes each.

Greece Storm struggled to generate offense, recording only two shots on goal. Justin Fox faced a challenging evening in the net for Greece Storm, making ten saves. Despite the loss, Greece Storm showcased persistent effort throughout the game, with players like Evan Baldwin securing six ground balls and four takes.

Penfield improved their record to 6-5, extending their winning streak against Greece Storm to seven games dating back to 2018. Greece Storm fell to 2-9 this season.
