
Wildcats win Close One With BK
April 26, 2025 - In a tightly contested non-league game at Marcus Whitman, the Wildcats edged Bishop Kearney 13-12 on Saturday morning. Leading the way for Marcus Whitman were junior attackmen Ayden Clark and Tariku Blueye, each scoring five goals, with Blueye adding an assist to reach his 50th career assist milestone. Fischer Sleeman contributed two goals, while Connor Cameron chipped in with one. Logan Storms showcased his playmaking abilities, recording three assists. Freshman Brady Freida performed strongly in face-offs, winning eleven out of twenty for a 55% success rate. In goal, Tyler Speers registered twelve saves against twelve goals for a 50% save percentage.
For Bishop Kearney, no individual player report was available, but the team pushed Marcus Whitman to the limit in what marked their season opener. Despite the loss, their determined effort kept the game competitive throughout.
