Penn Yan Holds Off Brighton For Win

- Penn Yan extended its undefeated season to seven wins with an 11-10 victory over Brighton in a non-league matchup on Thursday. The game remained close throughout, with both teams scoring two goals in the first quarter. Penn Yan gained a slight edge in the second and third quarters before Brighton made a strong push in the fourth, scoring four times to nearly even the score.

Braden Fingar led Penn Yan’s offense with five goals and one assist, while Teagan Fingar contributed two goals and three assists. Tukker Fisher added three goals, and Greyson Hathway scored once. Mike Gigliotti and Levi Fisher each provided assists. Senior goalie Will Thompson played the full 48 minutes, recording 14 saves with 10 goals allowed for a 58% save percentage. Freshman Greyson Hathway was active on face-offs, winning 14 and losing 11, finishing at 56%.
