Mynderse-Romulus Holds Off Haverling

- Mynderse-Romulus secured a 12-9 victory over Haverling in a non-league matchup on Thursday evening. The visiting team took control early, scoring six goals in the opening quarter and maintaining their lead throughout the game. Junior attackman Griffin Hilimire led the offensive effort for Mynderse-Romulus with six goals and one assist, reaching his 150th career goal milestone. Owen Levis added a goal and an assist, while Eathyn Fasciana, Jack Brady, Ethan Olmstead, Anthony Luffman, and Trace Parish each contributed a goal.

Haverling saw strong performances from Warren McCormick, who scored three goals, and Gavin Price, who tallied two. Drew Spears recorded two goals and two assists, while Zach Colegrove chipped in with a goal and two assists. Goalie McLane Stermole made 15 saves and had a 56% save percentage in net for Haverling. Junior midfielder Drew Spears performed well in face-offs, winning 12 of 17 attempts for a 71% success rate, with sophomore Jacob Warner contributing four wins out of seven face-offs.

The victory marks Mynderse-Romulus' third win of the season, while Haverling moves to a 2-5 record. Mynderse-Romulus will host HFL on Saturday morning, while Haverling will travel to Batavia-Notre Dame for their next game on Wednesday.     [ Story and BOX SCORE
