Hilton Holds Off R-H for League Win

- Hilton secured a 15-13 win over Rush-Henrietta in their latest MC-D1 league matchup. The Cadets built a strong lead early, scoring 12 goals in the first two quarters before Rush-Henrietta responded with a late push in the second half. Hilton’s offensive leaders included Drew Brien (four goals, one assist), Gianluca Auriuso (three goals), Nicholas Presutti (two goals, one assist), and Anthony Mitrano (two goals). Freshman goalie Brendan Maxwell played 24 minutes, recording two saves and allowing one goal for a 67% save rate.

Rush-Henrietta mounted a strong fourth-quarter comeback, outscoring Hilton 7-2, but ultimately fell short of catching up. Hilton’s scoring was spread across multiple contributors, with Jason Cunningham, Braydon Pike, Collin Re, and Kyle Taddeo each adding one goal. Senior goalie Sam Guzzetta reached his 100th career save, stopping four shots in 24 minutes of play. Drew O’Buck controlled the faceoff circle, winning 20 of 24 attempts for Hilton, helping his team maintain possession.
